Not a good experience. Mainly for older people, not tolerant of younger children. First time camping, thought it would be a good place to start. Our children were very confined and not allowed to do anything, They tried to ride bikes and were stopped by residents complaining, a women stopped our son from riding his bike on the main road and would not let him proceed, tried to go to the creek and were complaining about trespassing, they tried to go swimming and had to get out for senior swimming hours.Given the middle finger by an older gentleman at the swimming pool. Not very nice residence. Not a good place for kids, great for over 65. Kids had a miserable experience. Advertise as a great place for families but actually is a great place for older seniors.Staff not very friendly. Pool shut down and water issues. Recommend trying somewhere else.
Welcomed at the gate with friendly folks and the onsite personnel were very friendly. Lots to do at the: pool, spa, tennis courts and game room. Had a great time here with my grandchildren,
Amazing! Friendly staff and residents. Extremely clean and well kept. Will definitely be going back and recommend.
A nice campground in a beautiful area close to Sedona and Cottonwood, AZ. A few things: the campsites are really packed in and in some areas they are set up with utilities in the middle, so you end up extremely close to your neighbor on one side. Although I signed up for full hookups, I only got 30 amp. Apparently, they are very limited on the 50 amp service because of some infrastructure issues. I asked about it at the office and was told this was an ongoing problem, although nothing was mentioned on the website. The check in process is not fun. The lady gave me a map of "available" sites and we had to drive around looking at the sites to determine what would work for us. Not fun when you are driving an RV, especially since others were doing the same thing. Not fun feeling like you are competing with others for very few available sites. To make matters worse, many of the sites that were identified as "available" were actually occupied. They don't seem to have a handle on what inventory is available and the power situation seems to complicate it. This is one of those places with many long term and some permanent residents. In itself this is not an issue; however, the park has lost control of the appearance standards. Some campers have put in sheds, random landscaping, signs, car ports, lighting, etc. It really detracts from the natural beauty of the area. On the upside, the staff was friendly, the park is quiet, and common areas are well maintained. Probably would not stay here again unless I could choose a larger, more private site with guaranteed 50 amp service.
I love this place, I stay here every time I come up for Thunder Valley Rally! Plus my Dad has membership at the one in Chula Vista, AZ. The staff is friendly and people staying there are so nice!
