Really long wait just to deal with untrained rude employees who don't even know the correct policies.
I had to renew my drivers license. No problem. Courteous staff, reasonable wait time. It seems everyone loves to hate DMV no matter what state. Personally I've always been amazed at the coolness under fire of the workers. If one doesn't want a long wait perhaps a little planning might help to avoid high volume times. I find AZ DMV well run, clean, modern and efficient. Leave that chip on your shoulder at home.

I was trying to register my out-of-state LEASED vehicle and had to come back 3 different times because each time I was told I needed something else from the lessor which was in another state. A faxed copy of these items was not good enough they wanted signed and notarized originals of all these items. HUGE hassle and why did it take 3 visits! Tell me all that I need on the first visit. No one seemed to know the actual policy. Mt advice for anyone in the same boat is get every scrap of info you can from your Lessor before coming in (Copy of Lease contract, power of Attorney-Notorized , Lessor Authorization AZ form-Notorized Copy of title).
