I've had my dog in the store many times with no problem and I've seen children many times there too. The store personnel are always nice and helpful. I feel confident in the qualIty. After more consideration and comparison shopping, I feel her prices are in line with many of the stores nearby. I've been buying dog food there for a couple of years and trust Denise to know what is a good quality for my overweight dog. I've recommended the store to friends.
WARNING!! Not dog friendly or a child friendly establishment!! My family and I are new residents to Cottonwood just recently purchasing a new home in the area. Since we have been here we of course have been asking our neighbors and area residents about the best shops and restaurants in town. We decided to check out “Paws on Main” because most of our friends and family have dogs and we were shopping for Christmas gifts. All I can say is I am really glad this was the last shop we visited before concluding our shopping trip in Old town Cottonwood. The lady running the shop was by far the biggest snob I have ever encountered in this most friendly town. From the time my family and I walked in with our dog and started to look around I could feel the very unwelcoming atmosphere. We were in the store maybe a minute when my daughter started looking at little dog hats and the owner immediately said, “sorry but that won’t fit your dog” then “let me put that back for you”. I was floored at her approach to my ten year just merely looking for Christmas gifts for dogs other than ours. See this is where she made her fatal mistake when it comes to customer service “101”. My family and I had prepared to spend well over $200 at this store and buy for ALL of our family and friends that have dogs. So the moral of the story is that she cost her shop well over $200 for being a snob. Now she gets to cash in a bad review on google, yelp, and trip advisory. Hope it was worth it! If you are passing through, skip this location and head straight to Sedona, they are much friendlier at the pet shops and they love pets and children alike. Or even better, Cottonwood has a pet store right in town with four times the selection.
