If I could give no stars, I would. Unfortunately that is not an option. Two days ago I was taken to the ER for severe vomiting and diarrhea. It was about 6 a.m. on Monday morning. I was so out of it, I'm not really sure who my doctors and nurses were. There was ONE caring nurse out of the whole staff, that treated me like a human being. When I told the doctor that was putting in my IV that I had several "accidents" due to the diarrhea she said, "yeah that happens", and then left me to sit in it. She asked me to sit up. I told her I couldn't sit up or didn't want to because I didn't want to sit in the feces and she said in a stern voice, "sit up! " So I did. I believe I had blood drawn and was given some Zofran and I think I fell asleep. No one would clean me up, I didn't even get a hospital gown. Once my fiancé could get someone's attention (after my light/alarm had been going off for a good twenty minutes), that one nice nurse finally brought me some clean underwear and a bucket of clean, warm water and wash rags so I could clean myself off. I was given another type of anti nausea medicine because the Zofran wasn't working. I don't remember a whole lot other than that. It would have been nice to be treated like a person by the emergency department, considering the circumstances... I went there for help. I was really embarrassed.
Dr. Jura is a great pediatrician. She is very knowledgeable about Autism Spectrum disorders and is a good resource for children and parents. She keeps abreast of the latest medical advances. Dr. Kaldenbaugh is a very good pediatrician with lots of experience and good diagnosis skills. For adults, Dr. Cattolico is an excellent General practitioner. All have great exam room manners and personalities.
I was seen by Anne Wildermuth, a PA-C . She was nothing short of amazing. I felt like for the first time in a while I had been treated like a human being by a doctor in Cottonwood. It's hard to be a young person in this town. She ran a bunch of tests to be positive there was nothing else wrong with me and then actually talked to me like an equal. I got things off my chest and prescribed medication that has helped tremendously. She is a ray of sunshine in the er here in cottonwood.

I had a 3 day stay at VVMC. I cannot say enough about the compassion and the competency of the staff. Dr. Salloum, LaRay, Jeanine and Darrian just to name a few. The way the staff responded to my needs and their excellent bedside manner truly impressed me. Thanks to all who participated in my care and thanks for all you do for this community on a day to day basis.
You'll receive the bare minimum in health care. Many horror stories have come from this hospital regarding botched surgeries. Very clean, vast new facilities, gift shop, cafeteria. Wi-Fi.
